I was fortunate enough to get a preview pass to see “The Simpsons Movie” tonight.

The movie is based on the longest running animated series in TV history of the same name, and it does not disappoint. The characters are richly drawn, not quite as “flat” as on TV. There are plenty of sly cultural references, loads of sight gags, and a little self parody with Homer announcing while watching a novie at the theater, that we shouldn’t be paying money for something “you can get on TV for free”.

They also stretch the boundaries on what can’t be done on TV (as much that can fit into a PG-13 rating). There is a great sequence featuring some cartoon nudity and Marge actually swearing!

For any fan of the Simpsons, this a must see movie and worth the 4 year production time.

Note : At the end of the movie, don’t leave when the credits roll, stay through till the end!
