The guy who had the stroke won. Isn’t that almost like electing a dead guy??

Today was primary day in Illinois, and it was my 1st time voting at my new house.

The interesting race in Chicago was for County President, where the current president, John Stroger, had a stroke about a week ago. everyone insists he will be fine, although he was in poor health already before. The campaign, which had gotten downright nasty, suddenly changed tone, as the opponent Forrest Claypool, didn’t want to look like an uncaring lout and attacking a man in the hospital. As of now, with 33% of the vote counted, Claypool has a 53/47 edge.

I felt like a blushing bride while being mentioned on John’s podcast. It was really weird hearing someone talk about me while I was on the train on the way to work.

Hoo boy - John has direct linked me from his site. Please drop me an email or leave me a comment and let me know you found this page from John’s show. Heck, leave me enough encouragement and I might even start my own podcast.

Woohoo! I have earned a whopping $2.63 in 8 months. Mcdonald’s anyone?

As you may know, I am participating in the CMSA winter doubles league for tennis. My tennis partner and I are not doing the best, but we had our first straight set victory Friday night, 6-4 6-0! We MAY actually make the playoffs!

Saturday I signed up for the summer softball league, which i have wanted to do ever since I moved to Chicago. Practices start in a couple of weeks. I also plan on playing in the summer tennis league.

Looks my summer is going to be busy!

No new episodes for a while….and oh my god….Battlestar Galactica did do as they said. They kind of “reset” the show so there are some new challenges. A year later, new President Baltar has settled the humans on the planet, and most of the crew as well. The cylons find them and Baltar surrenders to them. So the next season or maybe more will deal with the humans on the planet rebelling against their cylon overseers. Meanwhile…what is left of the fleet jumped as they could not be effective in defending them.

After yet another mention on Ongline Podcast..I am now thinking of doing one of my own. Not sure what I would even talk about that people would find interesting. Trying to decide on a name…as this will be on a separate server…or maybe not.

I just don’t know.
