It’s a day of thanks today in the States.

I am thankful for my friends who have stuck by me over the years, especially the ones who I have had to confide (and have offered me great advice) in some of my recent personal issues over the last year.
I am thankful for my new condo and having a good job which helps pay the bills.
I am thankful for my health and the health of my family

Spending this holiday alone….have some plans for the weekend, though.

SBC is now AT&T, and they have a new logo. I hated it at first, but it is growing on me….not the big corporate behemoth, a lot friendlier.

10 degrees F this AM (-10C for those of you on the metric system) I hate layering my clothes to go to work.

This time of year, there is something i always wonder about. If you fart and it is below freezing, can people see the steam coming out of your butt? I tend to hold mine in when the need arises in the winter for that very reason. But then again…I have never seen it from anyone else…

I added a link to the bottom of each page showing where the last 10 visitors who looked at this page were from. Um…Maria Laach, Germany? Um…looks pretty, but why from there?

My streak of 4 checks in the mail in-a-row ended today. ::sniff:: Also, I only won $2 in the lottery. Someone in CA won the $315 million….

God…if I have to stick my hand in one more cardboard box…I am going to scream!

Some things I realized while I have been unpacking.

I bought my first piece of hardware…an actual paintbrush. I touched up the walls in the hallway (which are Raisin Torte) as they got chipped up as I was lugging boxes in.

Also….4 days in a row - 4 checks in the mail!

Day 1 - check from title company for extra they took out at closing for property taxes
Day 2 - another check for the property taxes on the parking space
Day 3 - refund check for Overpayment to Comcast - I sure loved calling and canceling my cable service
Day 4 - deposit returned from previous apt rental

Now for Day 5 - how about a $310 million check for the Mega-Millions jackpot? We’ll see.

100% of my stuff is in my new place now. Damn…I have a lot of sh*t. Lucklily, this is a 2 BR/2 bath place so I have some room for :ahem: storage.

These last couple of months have been draining. I rarely see friends anymore. But I am glad to be getting settled. I like my new furniture (black leather) and flat screen TV. I doonated my old furniture to the Brown Elephant, when I learned that the Salvation Army would not pick up the old stuff.

I am working on getting a PO Box set up for my fans (all 2 of you) to send stuff. More soon.
