New Dishes and Email

Bought some new dishes on Monday. Really like them…plum and black color.

Evidently my IP address has been used for some spam in the past and as a result I have been unable to receive some email. If you cannot email me at my regular address, drop me a line at bradheld(at)gmail.com (take out the (at) and replace it with an @ sign) Have to do it like this to keep the website email harvesters at bay. :/ My ISP is working on the issue now.

Website of the day : jibjab.com, making fun of both candidates. (high speed recommended)

“I, Robot”

Went and saw the digital version of I,Robot yesterday…it was very good. Great special effects and a compelling story.  It was set in Chicago 30 years in the future…more buildings in the skyline.  Pretty cool - can I move there?  I will probably go and see Spiderman this week.

Have to actually WORK today, but will get Monday off to make up for it, so I guess that will be OK.  Proble is it is so nice out today.  ::sigh::

Post Madonna Post

My audio blogs from the concert below didn’t turn out too well…it was worth a shot.

Her concert was incredible…her voice was very good. A lot of the songs sounded just as they did when they were recorded. The thing that surprised me was that there was no encore….the lights came up almost immediately after the concert.

I went over the weekend to see the premeire of Bakla and Tomboy. I was pleasantly surprised to see MY NAME in the credits (in the Thanks to section). KInda weird seeing your name on the big screen. Anyone want my autograph?

Madonna Concert

It was awesome…she did a lot of her old stuff except “Like A Virgin” I guess that would be a bit strange considering she has 2 kids now :)

Go John!

He’s been going lock-step with the president, but not on this issue.

In other news, I am going to the Madonna concert tonight…should be fun!. I amnaged to get a very good seat for tonight’s show. I think I’ll skip the pricey souveniers though…$40 for a shirt…and that is the lowest! And…no I did not get the Platinum package….$700????

News Crawlers - on the way out?

You know that scrolling news “crawlers” at the bottom of the screen on the news networks? They have been a staple on CNN, MSNBC and Fox since the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The news channels all hated them but nobody wanted to make the 1st move. It appears MSNBC made the first move tonight….I surfed by, and it was gone! Turned to CNN and there’s is about half of it’s normal size. Fox still has theirs. Looks like they are on the way out. I think it’s a good thing. Scarcely a day went by when there was no speliing or grammar errors. (and the story that you did want to read was interrupted when they went to commercials)
